Today's Prayer Points

David is walking today from just north of Gilgal. Please continue to pray for the health of the team; whilst David is mostly recovered, his physical strength is not 100%, especially considering that he is walking many miles on most days.

David, Carol and the team are staying in a little village that is nestled among farmlands and that has Mt. Tabor (Mount of Transfiguration) in the distance. They celebrated Shabbat together with some sweet fellowship and were again so grateful for all your support and prayer.

David will be doing another interview with Jonathan Bellamy from on the road, this will be broadcasted at 16h15 UK time (or 17h15 RSA time) on the CityDrive time slot, you can tune in and listen on www.crossrhythms.co.uk.

Today's Prayer Points

The team are doing well and are settled into their new accommodation. The health of the team is much improved but your prayers would be great for their continued strength in the Spirit, soul and body. They still have many high ways and byways to walk!

Today's Prayer Points

Again, many thanks for all the messages and 'likes' that the team are getting, your support is so appreciated, and your prayers are instrumental for the team as they come before God each day and trust for the Spirit of the Living God to lead them and guide each step they take.

Today's Prayer Points

The interview with David on www.crossrhythms.co.uk will only be at 16h15 (UK time) which would be 17h15 South Africa time. Click on the red LISTEN button if you would like to hear how David and the team are doing and what they are witnessing God do as they walk the roads where Jesus would have walked.

Many thanks for all the messages and notes of encouragement, the team are delighted and encouraged at the support they have. If you are on Facebook you can like their page at Dave Cape Walking the Great Commission (WTGC2014) and follow them on Twitter @footwasher1.

Today's Prayer Points

The team as a whole is strong in Spirit but all still suffering physically, they are all recovering from the flu very slowly and their physical strength has not retuned fully. Their next leg of the journey is to walk from Jerusalem to Jericho, but this is a mountainous region and the walking could take further toll on their recovery. Please pray specifically for their health and physical strength.

Images from last nights service at King of Kings Community. We collected the second letter from the church here in Jerusalem and they prayed over the team. What a great time we had!

Today's Prayer Points

Many thanks for all the responses and scriptures on email and also on the FB page, the team appreciates all of your love and support.

David is still not so well - so a specific prayer for his health and strength would be great.

Today's Prayer Points

Walking into Jerusalem, feeling overwhelmed, I was reminded of King David's words as he purchased ground on Mt Zion for the Lords temple. The Lord does not want from us that which costs nothing.

SCRIPTURE OF THE DAY

2 Samuel 24:24 - However, the king said to Araunah, "No, but I will surely buy it from you for a price, for I will not offer burnt offerings to the LORD my God which cost me nothing " So David bought the threshing floor and the oxen...

Today's Prayer Points

Meeting with the Mayor of Bethlehem reminded me that we all must not underestimate the place of influence each of us has for His Kingdom. You are His planting.

SCRIPTURE OF THE DAY:

John 11:48 "If we let Him go on like this, all men will believe in Him."

Today's Prayer Points

Walking through Judea amongst the Arab people this week, I've been reminded that those outside our immediate circle (our Jerusalem) may see things differently to what we're accustomed. That's why Jesus gave us the parable of the Good Samaritan. Have you discovered your Judea yet?

SCRIPTURE OF THE DAY:

Luke 10:29 But wishing to justify himself, he said to Jesus, "And who is my neighbor?"

Luke 10:33 "But a Samaritan, who was on a journey came unto him, and when he saw him, he felt compassion.

Today's Prayer Points

Whilst walking in the Arab areas yesterday, we encountered those who were kind to the gospel and others who were aggressive. It's the same no matter where you are! That's why LOVE conquers.

SCRIPTURE OF THE DAY:

So he answered and said, " 'You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind, and 'your neighbor as yourself.'Luke 10:27

FEEDBACK:

The team is off for the second day of walking in Palestinian territory.

Points of PRAYER:

We have two specific prayer requests.
  1. We need an interpreter.
  2. Health for the team. (Hennie is much better, David and Rhonda Lettow are not. Divine protection for Dave and Carol and Jon.

Today's Prayer Points

As we begin the physical Walk of the Great Commission, might you begin your own personal journey of discovery in the Great Commission.

Scripture of the Day:

The mind of a man plans his way, But the Lord directs his steps. Proverbs 16:9

Note of FEEDBACK:

David and the team arrived safely and are settled into their accommodation. They begin walking today. The teams hearts are full of anticipation and expectation.

Points of PRAYER:

  • Guidance and decision for the best avenue of transportation in and out of the Palestinian area.
  • Interpreters... favor in that someone will pick up our cause and want to walk with us.
  • Peace, Safety and breakthrough as they walk.

AC Talk February 2014

As I stand on the eve of embarking on Walking the Great Commission ....literally, I have come to understand that the great commission needs to be a multifaceted engagement with its focus at everylevel of Kingdom activity. It needs to be focused both upward and outward.
THE FIRST PRINCIPLE IS THAT WHEN WE ARE ENGAGED IN THE GREAT COMMISSION, SOCIETY SHOULD BE CHANGED.

Prayer Points Feb 2014

  1. Team – That God may lead them and guide them as their hearts are stirred and prepared for this adventure, as they spend time together may their hearts be knitted together. That important introductions and meetings will be productive, fruitful and continue to reveal the way forward.
  2. Travel – Details of departure, destinations, accommodation, transport and all the legal requirements will be known and settled; there is much to be organized before they fly to Jerusalem on March 27 and before they sail to Tristan da Cunha.
  3. Tour – Once they have commenced their journey they will require our constant prayers but please begin with praying for the churches; churches that are hearing the call of the trumpet and are coming forward and committing to participate in this great adventure, churches who will support the team as they go and those who are participating , churches who will write letters in Bethlehem (Judea) and Nazareth (Samaria), churches who will host them along the way and the believers  who will receive the letters.  The team will also meet many people along the route, pray for hearts that are ready for the gospel.  Pray that God would give the team joy, wisdom, grace, mercy, love, kindness and more of Himself to each of them, that each step they take will bear weight in the spiritual realm for the King and for His Kingdom.

Focus Verse: “You have seen well, for I am watching over His word to perform it “ Jer 1:12
